High-security vehicle entrances can require protection against different types of threats. In addition to controlled vehicle access and forced-entry resistance, some locations may require ballistic protection as part of the physical security concept.
The Bavak B-Protect is a high-security bi-folding gate that can be supplied with ballistic protection up to FB6, depending on the selected configuration.
Ballistic protection and forced-entry resistance address different threats. B-Protect configurations are also available with RC2, RC3 and RC4 resistance classifications according to EN 1627. The required combination should therefore be determined according to the threat assessment, operational requirements and security objectives of the location.
Typical applications can include government and defense facilities, critical infrastructure, energy and utility sites and other environments with elevated physical security requirements.
The B-Protect can also operate as part of an integrated vehicle entrance together with access control, vehicle detection, video surveillance and other security systems.
